The President of Latvia supported the proposal of the Minister of Defence Raimonds Bergmanis to appreciate the successful activities of Leonīds Kalniņš during six months after his assignment to the post of NAF Commander.
“During his professional activities, Major General Leonīds Kalniņš has won respect of the soldiers and he has also cooperated successfully with military personnel of our allies by ensuring the hosting of NATO Multinational Battalion in Latvia,” stated Raimonds Vējonis.
