Valsts prezidents Rēzeknē noslēgs diskusiju ciklu par latviešu vēsturiskajām zemēm
On Friday, 25 September, President of Latvia Egils Levits will visit Rēzekne to conclude his series of public discussions about historical Latvian lands at Gors, the Embassy of Latgale. President and opinion leaders will discuss the cultural, historical and contemporary traits of Latgalian identity.

Other participants of discussion ‘Latgalian identity: past, present and future’, who will join President Levits as panellists, include poet Anna Rancāne, Andris Ušpelis, keeper of Latgalian family pottery traditions and clay artist, Andris Slišāns, Director, Intangible Heritage Centre ‘Upīte’ (Stream), Aivars Bačkurs, Director of Dagda Region Ezernieki Community Centre, Director of Association Dagne, and Ēriks Zeps, radio host, member of the post-folk band Rikši.

Discussion will be livestreamed on President Levits’ YouTube channel presidentlv, web-page www.president.lv and social media platforms Facebook egilslevitslv and Twitter @Rigas_pils.

During visit to Rēzekne, President of Latvia Egils Levits will open Latgale Business Days 2020, take part in discussion on current education priorities and School2030 strategy with school leaders from Rēzekne and the region at Zeimuls, Centre of Creative Services of Eastern Latvia. President will conclude his visit to Rēzekne by going to Francis Trasuns Musuem ‘Kolnasāta’.
