The President of Latvia is briefed on the conclusions of the State Audit Office regarding the delivery of the Rail Baltica project

On 10 June, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with the Auditor General Edgars Korčagins and Member of the Council of the State Audit Office Inese Kalvāne at the Riga Castle. Representatives of the State Audit Office presented to the President of Latvia the study report, which had been jointly prepared by the Supreme Audit Institutions of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, on the implementation of the Rail Baltica project. The parties discussed the implementation, financing and transnational cooperation of the Rail Baltica project to date. The Auditor General also informed President Rinkēvičs of the findings and the status of the Latvian section of Rail Baltica. It is anticipated that the findings of the State Audit Office will be made available to the general public in Latvia on 12 June of this year.
