The President of Latvia pointed out that the border guards were the first on whose work the security of Latvia depended. The border guards also were the first to face new security challenges, whether these were tense relations with some of our neighbouring countries or intensifying flow of illegal immigration on the eastern border of our country.
He wished endurance to border guards in the performance of their daily duties. “May satisfaction and pride of belonging to the State Border Guard of Latvia accompany you all!” wished the President of Latvia.
