H. E. Yasuhiro Kawaguchi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Latvia, paid his farewell visit to the Riga Castle on 16 November to receive the Order of the Three Stars from the President of Latvia Egils Levits.
According to Chapter of Orders decision of 22 October 2021, H. E. Yasuhiro Kawaguchi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Latvia was awarded the Class II Order of the Three Stars and the rank of the Commander of the Order in recognition of his notable contribution in promoting, deepening and strengthening of ties between Latvia and Japan, as well as enhancing bilateral political, economic and cultural dialogue.
