President of Latvia Egils Levits and First Lady Andra Levite chose to go to Rīga Purvciems Secondary School to vote for members of the 14th Saeima on 1 October.
After casting his vote, President Levits gave short comments to media. ‘It is a duty of every citizen of Latvia. We must vote and choose political parties with reasonable policies and expertise to steer Latvia through the stormy seas over the next four years. We have a good spectrum of political ideas to choose from – conservative, liberal, nationalist,’ President of Latvia said as he urged voters to turn out.
‘Everyone must vote! It happens only once every four years when we spend a day for our country and choose our leaders who will determine the future of Latvia in the next four years,’ Mrs Andra Levite said urging voters to make their choice.
