On 7 December, President Edgars Rinkēvičs, on the initiative of the Association of Large Cities of Latvia (LLPA), met with members of the Association in the Riga Castle to discuss the current issues of large city municipalities in Latvia, including the vision and challenges of large cities concerning education, health, EU structural funds investments, etc.
During the meeting, E. Rinkēvičs listened to the views of the representatives of the LLPA on the legislative initiative proposed by the President of Latvia on amendments to the Law on State Secrets and amendments to the Law on Local Governments.
