President continues his treatment at Stradiņš Hospital

President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis was taken to the Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital to ensure recovery from virus infection on Monday, January 18.   While evaluating the state of health of the President today, doctors decided to carry out further treatment of the President of Latvia at Clinical University Hospital named after Pauls Stradiņš according to its profile. Preventing further infection risk of the President of Latvia requires further examinations and procedures to be made.

 

The information of public significance about the President’s state of health, as appropriate, will be provided by the responsible experts of the hospital.

 

In order to devote all his strength and attention to the recovery progress, powers of the President of Latvia shall be temporarily entrusted to the Madam Chairperson of the Saeima for the period of the President’s illness starting from tomorrow, January 20.
