On 10 December, Latvia’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom Ivita Burmistre presented the Certificate of Merit signed by the President of Latvia Egils Levits to the exceptional Latvian poet Velta Sniķere in appreciation of her lifelong contribution to the Latvian literature and to mark the 100th birthday of Mrs Sniķere on 25th of December.
