PHOTOS/VIDEO: Official presentation ceremony of the Cross of Recognition to Oleksandr Pavenko, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia to the Luhansk and Donetsk regions in Ukraine

On 1 July at Riga Castle, President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs presented the Cross of Recognition (III class) to Oleksandr Pavenko, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia to the Luhansk and Donetsk regions in Ukraine. Pursuant to the decision of 10 April 2024 of the Chapter of Orders, the state award is bestowed upon Oleksandr Pavenko for his special merits on behalf of the state of Latvia: his contribution to strengthening the relations between Latvia and Ukraine and his extensive support in delivering humanitarian aid provided by Latvia to Ukraine.
