On 25 January, the President of Latvia Egils Levits met with the Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš to discuss current developments in the work of the Government. During the meeting, they focused on the 2023 state budget, energy policy issues, as well as necessary changes in legislation to enable the government and local municipalities to react faster than usual in crisis situations.
