On 1 July, President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs met with the honorary consuls of Latvia abroad at Riga Castle.
Latvia's honorary consuls represent the country's interests in all world regions - Europe, America, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Latvia has more than 170 honorary consuls in countries around the world, representing various business sectors.
The 11th Latvian honorary consuls' meeting will take place from 1 to 3 July. During this meeting, participants will be briefed on foreign policy developments, security highlights, and opportunities for bilateral economic cooperation.
