On 6 December President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with Prime Minister Evika Siliņa in the Riga Castle. At the press conference, the President of Latvia and the Prime Minister informed about the issues discussed during the meeting: priorities and financing of the 2024 State Budget, the current situation regarding the transit and import of Russian grain into the territory of Latvia, the future work of the government, including the issue of gas tariffs, as well as Latvia's support for the start of EU accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova.
