Valsts prezidents uzklausa LTRK viedokli par valsts budžetā 2021. gadam piedāvātajām izmaiņām nodokļu sistēmā
Today, President of Latvia Egils Levits met with Aigars Rostovskis, Chair of the Council of Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Jānis Endzinš, COB of LCCI, and Elīna Rītiņa, Deputy Chair of the Council of LCCI, in the Riga Castle to discuss the opinion of business community on tax reform proposed by government in the 2021 budget planning process. Government plans to change micro-enterprise tax rates and minimum social insurance contribution levels.

LCCI voiced their concerns regarding plans to change taxes while the economy is fighting crisis. This reform would have significant impact of low-income earners. Discussion also focused on government proposals concerning minimum social insurance contribution levels and their impact on the labour market. Leaders of LCCI suggested to implement tax reform in phases and couple it with introduction of commercial accounts.

President Levits and leadership of LCCI also discussed possible ways of addressing these challenges.
