Latvija un Moldova ieinteresētas aktīva dialoga izvēršanai pēc COVID-19 krīzes
President of Latvia Egils Levits and President of Moldova Igor Dodon discussed bilateral relations and current cooperation between Latvia and Moldova during a phone call today. President of Latvia congratulated President Dodon on Moldova’s Independence Day, which will be celebrated tomorrow.

Presidents of both countries confirmed mutual interest in expanding bilateral cooperation once the Coronavirus crisis is over and praised the European Union (EU) for successful dialogue with Moldova in scope of the EU’s Eastern Partnership. President Dodon invited Egils Levits to visit Moldova next year to further discuss the deepening of bilateral cooperation.

Egils Levits and Igor Dodon also exchanged information on how countries are coping with the spreading of COVID-19 virus. President Dodon thanked Latvia for supporting Moldova in its efforts to contain the novel Coronavirus.
