Dear Ukrainians, Dear Friends!
As Ukraine marks the Independence Day, I would like to express my highest appreciation for the valor that the people of Ukraine have shown in these dark times.
Faced with Russia’s aggression, you stood resolute and strong. And you continue to do everything necessary to defend your homeland, it’s freedom and sovereignty.
Latvia has been with Ukraine since the day one of Russia’s aggression. And I am confident that with the assistance of Latvia and other allies Ukraine will succeed and justice will be restored.
Therefore, Latvia will continue to contribute to Ukraine’s military, reconstruction efforts, economy and humanitarian aid as long as necessary.
Please, accept, dear Ukrainian Friends, our best wishes on the anniversary of your independence.
