While congratulating the heroes, authors, and supporters of the book, First Lady of Latvia Iveta Vējone emphasised, “I think that the book “Possible Meetings” is very, very special, because it is a very personal conversation about the lives, opportunities, and dreams of our fellow human beings. In the book, its heroes reveal their zigzags of life and let us see that everyone can become an inspirational model for others.”
“In today’s hurry, conversations between family members, friends, and colleagues are often becoming shorter, and we are replacing them with communication in the electronic environment. However, a true tet-a-tete conversation can reveal a great deal. It can give strength, heal, inspire, and help overcome difficulties,” said Iveta Vējone.
“Unfortunately, there are still many stereotypes, fears about the unknown and unstudied in our society. We still have a lot to do to break down these imaginative boundaries, which often do not allow us to see the most important, the human being,” outlined First Lady of Latvia Iveta Vējone, the patroness of the book. She thanked everyone who contributed to the book and was not afraid to tell his or her story.
