On 1 February, in scope of the official visit of President of Poland to Latvia, First Lady of Latvia Andra Levite and First Lady of Poland Agata Kornhauser-Duda visited Vaivari National Rehabilitation Centre and Ukrainian professional and volunteer service soldiers from Kharkiv, Volyn and Zhytomyr regions who undergo treatment and rehabilitation in Vaivari.
First ladies of Latvia and Poland met with troops, listened to their life stories, admired their bravery and wished speedy recovery.
First ladies and administration of Centre ‘Vaivari’ discussed treatment and rehabilitation of Ukrainian militaries. They acknowledged innovative rehabilitation methods and stressed the significance of counselling.
Andra Levite and Agata Kornhauser-Duda applauded fighting spirit of Ukrainians and pledged to continue supporting Ukraine as long as it takes to win.
Vaivari National Rehabilitation Centre began treating Ukrainian soldiers in 2014 when Russia occupied and illegally annexed Crimea and opened war in Donbas. Centre ‘Vaivari’ provides multidisciplinary support to troops to allow them to return to Ukraine as quickly as possible.
