President of Latvia met with Latvian experts working for various international organisations today to discuss the main conclusions of the recent Forum of Latvian Professionals Working for International Organisations, including ways of strengthening informal cooperation between Latvian experts and professionals working at the international organisations. ‘Networking is a key goal in modern society, we need to enhance informal cooperation of Latvian professionals,’ President Levits noted.
According to Egils Levits, personal contacts and consultations with Latvian experts working in various countries should help Latvia promote its international agenda on various platforms and help experts grow professionally.
President of Latvia thanked diplomatic service for creating such a forum for Latvia’s professionals at international organisations. He also thanked everyone who came out to establish closer contacts with community of professionals. ‘It is nice to see the forum growing. From a small meeting of 20 people last year, it has now grown into an event four times the previous size.’
Participants discussed various ways of making cooperation better in future and examples of successful cooperation built by professionals working on behalf of Latvia internationally.
