Aicinām medijus akreditēties “Melnās kafijas” vakaram Rīgas pilī
This is a Chancery of the President of Latvia call for media accreditation to the Black coffee soiree. The event honouring the fallen soldiers of the War of Independence and marking the 100 years since establishment of the Latvian Military Academy will be hosted by the President of Latvia at the Riga Castle for the first time on Sunday, 30 November.

Media accreditation request submission deadline: 15:00, Friday, 29 November.  Accreditation requests to the Chancery of the President of Latvia must be submitted for each media representative. NB! Permanent press passes issued by the Chancery will not be valid for this event!

Media are required to follow the formal dress code: dark suit for men and business costume for ladies.

18:00               Evening retreat ceremony and awarding of General Hartmanis’ sword to this year’s best graduate (yard of the Riga Castle)

~18:40             Black coffee soiree (Riga Castle Festival Hall). Cadets and invited guests gather in the Festival Hall of the Riga Castle for a feast consisting of ryebread, marmalade and wheat coffee, sharing of memories and army songs. Speeches by the President of Latvia Egils Levits, Speaker of the Saeima Ināra Mūrniece, Minister for Defence Artis Pabriks, Chief of the Defence Staff Leonīds Kalniņš, Rector of the Latvian National Defence Academy Colonel Valts Āboliņš and representative of the Latvian Officers’ Association.
