The Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Latvia, Mrs Monika Michaliszyn!
Warm greetings to the organisers of the Seni Cup!
Dear athletes and attendees!
It is an honour and a pleasure for me to participate in the Seni Cup tournament for the first time. But maybe some of you are participating for the 17th time from the very beginning?
I am happy for every participant who has come to Staicele from different parts of Latvia, meeting old friends again or new ones and eagerly waiting for the opening of the tournament.
Physical activity and sports improve the quality of our life, including our physical health, our mental health, and our social skills. You, dear athletes, with your joy, zeal and energy, are setting an example for everyone who is still wondering whether to overcome laziness and finally start moving!
Sincere thanks also to the organisers for your work and ideas in organising this mini-football tournament. Your work is appreciated as the number of participants grows every year.
Soccer is a team sport. One person cannot be a goalkeeper, defender and striker. Similarly, in life, each of us has a talent in a certain area, but maybe we are not so successful in another. Therefore, a good coach will assess a player and put him in the right position on the field. Only a united team can win!
I wish every team in today's tournament success and fair victories without injuries. I also wish every team to go to Poland and participate in the finals in Torun - to meet athletes from other European countries and represent Latvia proudly.
Thank you!
